Geeqie 2.6 can't show files in multiple directories
I'm using Debian. This is a new issue in 2.6: I see it even when I build the latest HEAD from source.
I run geeqie b/image.jpg c/image.jpg. It should show me b/image.jpg, and if I pgdown, it should move to c/image.jpg. Instead it shows me files in the current directory. If the current directory isn't b or c, I don't even get either of the images I asked for. It also opens up some "collections" window in the background, and asks me if I want to save it when I exit. I never asked for any "collections" window; I just want to see the images I asked for.
The previous geeqie (2.4 probably) showed the correct images, and still had some collections thing. The geeqie before that didn't do the collections, and just did what the user asked. Can we simplify it to do the reasonable thing it used to do?
Thanks.
Yes, something has gone missing.
With the situation you describe, Geeqie did create a Collection and then set the main window focus to one of the files in the Collection. The window header showed something like Collection - Command Line. But the Collection window was not displayed, nor was it saved on exit.
I will recreate this effect but probably keep the Collection window displayed (but not saved on exit) - otherwise there is no way for the user to see which files are in the Collection.
