Images are no longer loaded from file browser selection unless "images as list" is set

  • Distribution: Arch, KDE Plasma 6, AMDGPU, X11.
  • Distribution release: up-to-date stable
  • Geeqie version : 2.6

Geeqie no longer directly displays photos opened via any file browser I've tried, it instead loads the last photo viewed in that directory or a file at the end of it. once metadata and thumbs are loaded, clicking a photo in a file browser causes Geeqie to navigate to that photo in the image list in the sidebar and highlight it, but it does not display that photo until it's manually clicked in Geeqie. selecting images within Geeqie works as normal.

this issue only occurs when the "view>files and folders>images as icons" option is set; "images as list" does not have this issue and photos are correctly loaded as in 2.5-2 and older.

I do not see this problem. If you open a terminal window and execute geeqie <filepath> do you see the same problem?

Same problem and then some; when opening via terminal while "images as list" is set it no longer loads the correct image, also clicking an image in Geeqie's file list only selects the image but cannot load it. setting "images as icons" allows Geeqie file list selection to work, still cannot open the specified file from terminal.

Same problem here, with Geeqie 2.6.1, up-to-date Arch with XFCE and X11
