Remember last file grouping mode

When I open a fresh geeqie window, both CR3 and JPG files with the same base name are shown and the JPG file has [NO GROUPING] added. I select all files in the folder, right-click and tick enable file grouping. This works as expected, the files are collapsed. However, when I restart the program, this setting is forgotten and I have to repeat the action every time. Is it possible to have geeqie remember this setting?
