Separate icons for playbak and recordign device

What workfow do you want to improve?

Application uses just one icon to show both current playback and recording device. As it can show only one icon at a time, visual information is not complete. User sees last device changed to, regardless if it is playback or recording device.

How to make it better?

Display separate icons for playback and recording device. That would allow user to see currently set playback and recording device as separate statuses at the same time.

Any alternative?

I could not find other solution for this.
