hanging at "Transcribing"
Hello,
VoiceInk looks like a great app, I just paid it but now, but unfortunately it Keeps hanging at "Transcribing" infinitely.
I have to force quite the app. I use VoiceInk v1.59 on macOS 26 , and permissions, except screen recording are enabled. app / mac restart did not help.
Looking forward for some advice! Thank you for your time.

For what it's worth, this happens to me as well from time to time. It would be good to see an error message or log to identify where it's getting stuck, as it could be a proxy or network issue. But who knows?

Yes, I have tried my best to troubleshoot the issue on my end. It runs completely locally without relying on any network, but it still gets stuck frequently.It's just recognition by the local whisper model, without enhancement.

Large v3 Turbo Large v3 Turbo (Quantized)
Both of these models will have this issue: they will take more than 10 times longer than usual, or fail to recognize. Using Apple's built-in one works fine, and using groq online also works fine. It's just that this situation occurs locally.
I had the exact same issue: took me more than a minute to transcribe "Test one, two, three, four" using Large V3 Turbo. I downloaded Parakeet, changed the model in the menu bar. Transcribed something using parakeet; that went super fast. I changed the model back to Turbo V3, and got great performance again, so it looks like switching models somehow "reloads" them or something and that can fix performance issues.
It happened to me again, now switching models did not seem to solve the issue. None of the models are giving good performance (all local) we are talking about several minutes for a 10sec transcription The error goes away on its own, but this mean I cannot trust voicing at the moment.
I am a pro user BTW
@Beingpax It has been updated to the latest version, but the problem still persists, so I have to use Apple's built-in model. I wonder when this issue can be fixed. Both V3 and V3 turbo have the problem of getting stuck in the transcription phase. It is occasional; once it gets stuck, it can last for several minutes. Eventually, the transcription can be successful, but occasionally it takes several minutes, and this happens many times a day.

Yep just upgraded to pro and recommended the software to 3 people... then I moved to 1.61 from 1.59 and have nonstop issues with transcription
