Bug: Doesnt work with external monitor and laptop closed

Seems to be an issue due to screen recording feature yo use. But it wont write and record when connected to usb-c to an external monitor and the recorder is not in the main laptop window. When connecting to a external monitor I always keep the laptop closed as the monitor is big enough and the resolution is correct when keeping laptop lid closed.

Anyway to fix this issue?

I use a similar setup and all works for me on Apple MacBook Pro M4

Could you let us know if you're using the Mac's internal mic or an external peripheral? When the laptop is closed, Mac's internal mic doesn't work by design.

Internal mic or Apple AirPods tried both same issue. Also use Krisp but tried to switch it off and it wont solve the problem.

Ok good didnt know that but the issue persist if I keep the laptop lid open so seems to still be an issue.
