Color Label Shortcut Shift-Control-0 doesn't work

Open budus opened this issue 1 year ago • 7 comments

Short description I want to set color label to several images at once or remove it, but the shortcut "Shift-Control-0" seems not work.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Select at least two images
  2. Press Ctrl-Shift-1 to set red label
  3. Press Ctrl-Shift-0 to remove red label

Expected behavior I expect the red (or other colors) color label to be removed.

Additional information

  • Version of RawTherapee: 5.9
  • Windows 11 Pro 22H2

Other useful information: none

It works for me on Linux. Perhaps it's specific to Windows.

For me it works on Linux Mint when I use the numbers in the top row of the keyboard. When I try to use the the number block at the right of the keyboard it doesn't work. Perhaps it's the same issue in Windows? @Lawrence37 : Perhaps you or someone else can have a look on the code that makes a difference between top row numbers and right hand numbers? I'm not a coder so I'm sorry that I'm not able to help.

I Have already tried the block-number before writing here, without lucky.

I have a ThinkPad T470 with external keyboard, but it's the same when I use the notepad keyboard.

I suspect the problem is mine alone, but is strange.

@hholtm The number pad keys and number row keys are distinct and I wouldn't be surprised if the code only references the number row keys. I don't know if it's intentional, but thinking about it, it makes sense to treat them the same for shortcuts. Some keyboards lack the number pad, so it is a bad idea to have shortcuts specific to those keys. That makes it ok to treat the number keys the same. It's also more intuitive.

@budus I will check the shortcut on Windows when I get the opportunity, if someone hasn't done so by that time. Do you have any system-wide shortcuts or some background application that may intercept ctrl + shift + 0?

I'm not aware of any ctrl+shift+0 shortcuts used by other apps; I don't have any other apps open, I doubt this is it.

If other Windows users don't experience the problem, I probably have something that isn't working well, otherwise...

Here is a link to a problem with Photo Mechanic with the same shortcut.

It's the same problem I would guess. I never did get it to work but I didn't try that hard.

@rgcmce's link has the same suggestion as this: https://superuser.com/a/1455798 Ctrl + shift + number may be a Windows shortcut for changing the input language.
