window resizing not working properly

Open SynTee-gh opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug Since v1.4.18 when launching Yuna, the window cannot be resized. It was working properly on a previous version.

Workaround:

  • maximize window
  • restore to window (see gif attachment in screenshots)

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Start Yuna
  2. Try to change window size by dragging window-borders
  3. See error

Expected behavior Window-Resizing shall work after launch without workaround (see above)

(note: due to filesize of gifs and github not supporting webm videos in attachments, the recording-size needed to be severely reduced)

Specs:

  • OS: Kernel: 5.4.52-1-MANJARO x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.19.3 Distro: Manjaro Linux
  • Version: 1.4.18

Most likely an issue with electron, nothing I can fix myself. Might get fixed when it's updated to electron 9.

Manually changing the window size is not supported either way - nothing is designed to be able to fit in different window sizes. #322

Ok, thanks for the explanation. I guess, I'll wait for electron 9 then.

Also, I wasn't really concerned about the UI elements. It was just a bit annoying I couldn't change window size when using the player in "maximize-to window" mode (so I can watch shows in a set window size while doing other stuff in the background): image

But I can definitely live with the workaround of first maximizing, then restoring window size before being able to manually adjust it.

Feel free to close this issue then - if other people experience this issue, try:

  • maximize the window
  • restore (unmaximize) window size
  • you should now be able to manually adjust the window-size as usual
