Malf AI shunting did not disable doomsday and pinpointer did not point to shunted AI

Open Kenionatus opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Round ID: 4879

According to the wiki, shunting (the AI transferring itself to an APC) "DISABLES AND CANCELS DOOMSDAY" (sic). In the above round, @sunofang was malf AI, shunted and then activated doomsday. Doomsday ran to conclusion. In the meantime, the captain's pinpointer continued to point to the nuke disk. According to the wiki, pinpointers are supposed to point to the AIs location during the doomsday countdown.

I would not be surprised if the wiki is correct here. In the sense that shunting will disable the doomsday countdown, but not remove the ability to start it. On top of that the pinpointer probably didn't recognize the now empty AI core and occupied APC as valid targets during the countdown. Just my guess though, it can also always be multi-z jank.
