Reproduction:

Be syndie crew on boarded ship Things i consider bugs/oversights -guns on the ship are poorly chosen, all guns are unuseable due to the need for some kind of implant -ammo on the ship is poorly chosen, why does the captain get a pistol which does not have any ammo spawn on the ship -releasing ewar/hammerlock should completely delete all traces of everything on the ship, right now there is a meta of "if we lose, we release the boarding and collect the corpses for no repercussions" -If the ai is watching the ship while ewar is released, the cameraobj gets deleted and an admin has to fix the ai Things i don't like and consider to be fucky wuckies or poorly balanced/thought out -why is the AI able to control things on the boarded vessel, even cams carried by crew should not allow that, it should be read watch only, i saw an ai complety fuck over and basically win boarding -fighter cas meta etc, you get it, allowing fighters just trivializes everything Closing Suggestions -less NPCs or pop based NPCs, if no one signs up for player syndies, have more npcs spawn -boarding players are always kitted out to the max, while syndie players often only start with a stetch/makarov and no extra ammo, not being able to use any of the rare guns lying around since they miss implants.

while i agree that the AI should be read only when observing boarding action, mayhaps permitting control once combat upgrades are applied is a consideration? maybe having to do the whole, diagnosing door controls or diagnosing APC controls routine they sometimes have to do when a player hacks a door or APC before they can have read/write on a boarded ship's controllable objects. giving a boardsers a reason to ask the ai "hey can you hack this door open with those upgrades we got you?"

  • release no longer teleports bodies
  • AI eye was fixed
  • AI control was fixed

  • unsure what weapons are lying around - no obvious guns mapped. could be loot spawners
