Looks like B5M-071XTR and B5M-224XES has the same specifications. They may be compatible but requires further testing.

I managed to find most of the required adresses but it still requires some work to do (like super battery address).

Force pushes are expected.

Yeah, just made for different countries and specs. Probably differences are keyboard language, SSD and RAM capacity.

You can remove -071XTR from device name. And your device is WMI1 based, so you can check other WMI1 configs

Looks good, can you please add an entry to docs/supported_devices.md

Didn't want to delay it any further, this can be done in a follow-up PR

Hello Team, Sorry I've been out for a while. Does this mean that B5M-071XTR and B5M-224XES are officially supported by msi-ec??! :) Would it work out of the box if I install Xubuntu 24.04 LTS (kernel 6.8)? Or will it need some extra work? Thanks a lot, you are fantastic.

Hello!

Yes, this means that the models are now supported.

You need to install the latest version of the driver: follow the installation instructions in the README.md file
