Default font should be able to handle all UTF-8 chars equally

See pictures when viewing site in czech language in browsers. Letters č, ě or ů have different (substitutional?) font then others.

Agreed. Lato actually supports a lot more alphabets and has the matching characters. Unfortunately the source we use for bundling doesn't use the latest version. Needs some investigation how to bundle that one (see latofonts.com).
