Problem with translation of "other" profile field
We have this comment from Polyglot (I don't know why he sent it to Support instead of posting in Bugs groups, so I post it here).
I have encountered this problem with profile translations:
Whenever I update the "Other" field of the "Contact information" section of one language version it changes also all others, so at the moment it is in Spanish for all tabs. This only happens in this particular field.
I wonder if this might actually be intended functionality? Perhaps whoever developed the translation functionality figured that users would not have separate social media accounts for separate languages.
But quite often, people write some text in addition to the link to their account. Like "find me on FB: ..." So I think it would be less confusing, and would suit all use cases, if that field behaved the same as other ones. Probably something to be fixed with the global rewrite of profile pages we want to do.

@gabriel-BW Ah I didn't think of that. In that case, I agree, it would make sense to have the field behave as all others do.
The 'other' field would need to be treated as a member translation (member trads due to French origin) to make this work. Would be a good starter issue if it weren't in the old code.
Wait for rewrite to fix this (where we need a better way to handle social networks anyway see issue #259 .)
