Loud noise powering on
*Describe the bug
when you bring the device out of sleep mode it has a loud sound that notifies everyone in the room. This wasn’t a thing a few months ago but the last 3 versions or so have produced that loud noise.
There's a boot sounds as well as haptic initialization in the latest versions of the firmware. This is probably something we need to figure out how to make more user friendly. cc @beastoin
Are you talking about DK2? I thought this was a feature, not a bug, so people know when the device is listening.
Yes and that sound is horrible there’s no way in hell that was a good idea. Everyone within 40 feet can hear it. Horrible design if that was intentional
@nelie2233 For now, this is more of a feature than a bug, as the sound is intended to indicate when the device is active. If you’d like to propose a change, the best way forward would be to submit a pull request or clearly describe the expected behavior so it can be considered for adjustment.
