Multiuser support

Open PowerUser64 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

I was testing if I could upload photos to different accounts simultaneously from the same device when I ran into an issue where changing the feature flags in Pixelify Google Photos doesn't save or apply in Google Photos. I think this might have something to do with the fact I had multiple users (and PGP works fine on the main account), so that is why the issue is titled as it is now.

Does anyone know if this is the issue? Or is there something else I could try to make it work?

On mine, I have enabled multi user support in Magisk, but somehow Pixelify App defaults to Pixel 5! I can not change this setting!.

@SubZero5 Have you tried re-building it with the default device set to Pixel XL and default features set to Pixel 2016? I'm curious if that'll set it to the Pixel XL for other users.

@mihir-io I have not rebuilt anything. I used the APK as is. The main user profile defaults to those settings.

@SubZero5 I'm not an Android dev so I have no idea if this will work, but I changed the defaultDeviceName to Pixel XL and the defaultFeatures to Pixel 2016. I've attached the built APK (inside the zip) in case you'd like to give it a try.

I revisited this and somehow it all just works™ now, I'm closing this issue. I think the issue might have been something to do with my multi-user settings in magisk. I don't know what it was before, but right now it's set so each user has their own separate root rules (User-Independent) and root sessions will inherit their requester's namespace (Inherit Namespace).
