I worry if we should support it or not. I would suggest to only support latest community version of visual studio 2015. it is free and easy to get.
Thanks so much for trying it out! According to the log, I see problems in lua-cjson, qtlua, qttorch and threads. None of them are necessary for the core torch functionality. It requires trivial change to get lua-cjson, threads to work. I will leave qt dependencies as is.
sounds reasonable to me. in a clean env, I can successfully get qtlua works with vs2015 community edition.
