Overlay not working, but tracking is fine

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS After following the instructions and launching track-o-bot, tracking works completely fine and gets every game, but whatever I do I can't seem to get the overlay to work. I've had issues where Hearthstone tried to sit on top of stuff, but "Always on Top" is unchecked and there doesn't seem to be a way to try that for track-o-bot? The box is definitely checked and I've been using track-o-bot for a while so I've restarted. If it matters, I'm using the open source mesa drivers for AMD.
