Boinc Installer crashes
For some reason the boinc installer crashes when I open it on my Mac. I copied and pasted the error below. If anyone could provide insight into why it crashed that would be appreciated. I am not a tech expert but someone on reddit advised me to post my issue here on GitHub. Thank you

@jhurt154 Is there a file named login_token.txt in the same folder as the BOINC Installer? If so, try renaming it or temporarily moving it our of that folder and let us know if that fixes your problem.
Did you download the installer directly from https://boinc.berkeley.edu or from another website such as https://scienceunited.org?
@davidpanderson the crash backtrace points to line 149 of mac_installer/installer.cpp (in version 7.20.4) which is trying to make a copy of the auto-attach key.
@CharlieFenton I downloaded it directly from https://boinc.berkeley.edu ,When I open the downloaded folder Besides the boinc installer there is a file named ReadMe.rtf along with a folder labeled Extras. Within the Extras folder there is Uninstall Boinc, COPYING.LESSER.txt, COPYING.txt, and COPYRIGHT.txt. There is no file named login_token.txt
Do you have an older version of BOINC installed or is this the first time you are installing it?
I assume you've already tried rebooting your Mac. The only other suggestion that comes immediately to mind is to download a fresh copy from https://boinc.berkeley.edu (in case the original may have been corrupted) and try with that. But I'll keep thinking about what might be causing your problem.
Unfortunately, I don't currently have access to a working Intel Mac. I'm running on an Apple Silicon Mac.
A few months ago I tried installing Boinc but wasn't successful in getting it to run so I uninstalled it. Maybe there's some file leftover on my Mac from that attempt that wasn't deleted. I searched my whole computer for the login_token.txt file but it wasn't anywhere
