Win screensaver doesn't go away

Win 10: I selected the BOINC screensaver. It kicked in and worked OK, but when I moved the mouse it didn't go away. Instead the screen went black except for a small box at the LL corner that said "BOINC". I had to use the Task Manager to get rid of the screensaver.
