Max CPU cores crash

The app crashes/restarts repeatedly and the OS becomes unusable if maximum or close to maximum number of CPU cores are selected without a gradual build up.

CPU cores : state 5→8 : crash 5→6→7→8 : works

Samsung Galaxy A20e Android 11 BOINC v7.18.1

@octavo, thank you for your report.

Could you please specify, what projects are you running on your phone? Also, are you have BOINC immediately crashing right after you change from 5 to 8 cores or this happens after some time? Also please remember, that for non-interruptible work BOINC should be kept open on foreground even when you switch off your screen.

The app crashes immediately.

Start with a number from the low number range and select the maximum number.
