App occasionally stops playing in background

I'm having a hard time tracking down the cause because it happens infrequently but often enough to be annoying.

What happens is that the app will play audio fine if it's currently focused and opened but as soon as it's put into the background or the phone is locked, it stops playing, similar to how Youtube doesn't allow background play iOS. The only was I've found to fix it is to force quit the app and restart.

I don't have any logs of it happening recently but I'll try to report them as soon as I encounter it again.

I think that may be an ios bug. I get the same problem also when using Spotify and Apple Music

I have to imagine that this was fixed a while ago because I completely forgot about this issue, and can't remember around the last time I encountered it.
