[macOS] Artworks disappeared
Hi, thanks for the work on this beautiful app.
Since the latest version (1.2.3) the artworks disappeared and show instead a blue cover in an interrogation point. I use Amperfy with Nextcloud Music and artworks worked properly before this version. I see no error logs. I also tried deleting artworks cache, resyncing library an switching ID3/server preference setting.
Maybe a bug with your NextCloud music library?
I have the same setup as you and the artworks do work with the latest Amperfy version. Are the artworks embedded in your files or stored separately?
Thanks for your reply. Ok it's weird. I use the latest version of Nextcloud Music (2.1.4) The artworks display correctly in other clients and also in the 1.2.2 I re-downloaded from Github. The artworks are embedded in the files.
Also I noticed that even if no artworks are displayed in the albums view, some are showing up in the songs view (in the settings all artworks are cached).
Hi there, having the same issue on iOS, using the same Nextcloud Music and Amperfy versions (2.1.4 and 1.2.3). Is there any way I can help investigate this issue ?
I‘ve noticed (on iOS) that if I set the „Artwork Download“ setting to „Download once per session (change detection)“, the covers start disappearing one by one until they are all gone. It seems that the first download works fine but as soon as it is updated for whatever reason it disappears.
@troplin I have the exact same setup and configuration as you. My covers do not disappear.
Which of the artwork display settings have you selected? Mine is set to "Prefer server artwork over ID3 tag".
I’ve tried all the settings of artwork download and artwork display, but none restored the artwork.
For now, I’ve switched to subsonic API instead of ampache to work around the issue.
I didn't know that the bug is only relevant for Ampache. I'm using Subsonic, so that explains why the bug never appeared for me.
@kr-cr and @troplin are you also using Ampache?
@Schlaubischlump Yes I was using Ampache, I didn't think about trying Subsonic. I did now and I can confirm the cover works with it. Thanks @vdouillet.
About the Ampache bug, the artworks don't show the empty icon, which is this one below, but a blue interrogation mark, as we can see in my first screen.
I can confirm this issue still exists in the latest Amperfy Version for iOS and macOS when using Ampache. One interesting thing is, that when trying to stream with the subsonic workaround that there is a error coming (which I will create another issue for it):
Unexpected ID format:
I hope this issue will be fixed some time soon.
