BIPES says USB-connected even though no device is physically connected

I can click on the device that is said to be present and BIPES "connects" to it which obviously does not work since there is no device.

This seems to be some kind of remnant. Reloading of the page does not help either. I have double checked, there is no other tab with BIPES open.

If i attach the device and try to connect as usual, it is shown as connected twice and is responding.
