Method not found error when trying to 'Deploy Mdx Script' in VS2017
Using SSDT Version 15.9.22 BI Developer Extensions for Visual Studio 2017 - 2.4.0
Full error message is: Method not found: 'Void Microsoft.AnalysisServices.Scripter.ScriptAlter(Microsoft.AnalysisServices.MajorO bject[], System.Xml.XmlWriter, Boolean)'.
Using SSDT Version 15.9.22
Can you double check the version of SSDT since the latest download from here is 15.9.6
And note that in the support table on the downloads page that v2.4.0 of BI Developer Extensions requires 15.9.6. So if you have an older version you will need to either update SSDT or downgrade BI Developer Extensions.
Hello Darren,
Please see my 'About Visual Studio' screen below. If I'm looking in the right place it does say 15.9.22, which should be higher than 15.9.6 Am I confused with the versioning?
Thanks, Ian

Sorry, but unfortunately when you reply via email Github strips out all attachments (even images). So you will need to visit this issue on the github site and upload any image there. But it's probably easier to click the "Copy Info" button and paste that information here as that will include all your different add-in versions in text form.
Hi Darren,
Here is the info from 'Copy Info' button:

We've published an updated release of BI Developer Extensions for Visual Studio 2019. We did not spend time making a release for Visual Studio 2017. Feel free to move to Visual Studio 2019. If not having a Visual Studio 2017 version is a blocker for you or your team, please add a note here.
