Custom music tool built into the app
Would it be possible to add a "browse for music" option, allowing you to use any music on your computer? For example, if someone wanted to use, say, the day music from terraria, or the main battle theme from a final fantasy game, or a custom piece of music?
This would be a really good feature. I always wanted to have my own custom music for my maps.
This would be a cool feature, but it would also allow putting annoying "music" into a map. There's really no way to prevent that, but there must be a way to report it if it's published.
@Luke18033 - Well, that argument doesn´t make much sense, since you are actually running the same risk of allowing people to using their custom thumbnails with the actual feature that Beemod has. Not to mention that this is also totally doable with Hammer.... Take a look at this Workshop Screen, what do you say, ehh? :

If we would follow that argument, then the Thumbnail feature should be definitelly removed from Beemod. So, what i think about these features is that they must be allowed and the P2 Workshop Community will have the power of desicion with their "Likes" or "Dislikes".
Look at these maps, does any of these even reached a mediocre star?.... No.
Don't assign @TeamSpen210, he has to do it himself, because this hasn't even been confirmed.
There's already custom music functionality in BEE (#79) but it's a PITA (for me, at least) to use. I think there should be a wizard that takes custom music, gives it a title, subtitle, thumbnail, and preview, and puts it in a "Custom" tab in the music window. This would put each piece of music in its own package, so you can easily find music you want to use again or delete tracks you don't need.
@Byzarru That sounds easy to develop.
@TheDarkBomber - This has been confirmed into the BenVlodgi section where TeamSpen added his label to this suggestion.
Also, this feature may would require a small MP3, Flac, Ogg Conversor for a compatible format. Im not sure how this is done in Hammer though.
Ideas:
And Russian music intensifies.
I don't think an Author option shouldn't be something to put in, since you would need to know who made the music, so the default author should be just called "Custom Music". But instead of creating a custom tab (group), why not let the user choose their own group to put it in. For example, you could put Russian music in the Russian group.

The nice thing about packages is that you can share them, so if you are an author of custom music, you'd want credit for whatever is going into BEE (even if it is just yourself and not actually appearing in the map). As of now, BEE2 Items is the only addon pack available for BEE, but under BEE2, there was an additional pack someone made available for use. Why should things be any different for BEE2.4?
Custom groups is a good idea; the option should be available under "Item Information". The default should be "Custom."
Take care i hate when a map displays "Magical Letters" when someone starts playing a map. So, insted just leave the credits and links on the Workshop Description.
BEE2-Items isn't an addon pack, It's the default pack.
And, why don't you make your own addon packs?
And a Chapter Text item would be a good idea.

The slots in the wizard aren't for the map itself; they are for the music selector in BEE. I've already started a discussion about "magical text" and titles/subtitles at BEE2.4's repository.

If it isn't, why does it need to be downloaded separately? Or am I getting confused again?
And, why don't you make your own addon packs?
Probably because BEE2.4 is still in development. I just found out about BEE this fall. Also, I'm not smart.
You are getting confused again.
Since this is confirmed, how about I close it?
Why is there more than one "confirmed" label?
Renaming. It's the same label.
See WASP.
Is this going to be done?
Is this going to be done?
Just because an issue hasn't been attended to doesn't mean it's inactive, just gotta be patient :)
Also there are other important things to be done right now.
