Levers
Description of the feature
Tbo for my love hate relastionship with the old BTS style. I do like that one off buttons turn into levers. I think old ap and overgrown should have this.
Why should this be implemented
it communicates to the player that the lever is oneoff instead of timed.
Additional information
I miss the BTS style too; but I don't think this will be added sadly. But I believe that with a pedistal button, toggle latch, and antline corner (set to an indicator panel) you can do something like this. You can place the indicator panel on the wall above the button, while connecting them to the toggle latch. This will work the same way as a lever, while easily indicating whether it's on or off!
I remember someone made a pedestal-style lever model, for this sort of toggle purpose. I do like the idea of automatically detecting a pedestal button and toggle latch, then merging them into such a design.
that would be nice also if it said in it's description that it turns into a level when connected to a latch it would also let people know that you can have it toggle able. by the way I did not know that, it makes sense but I don't use the logic parts that mutch.
The detection of the latch and button should work in such a way so that if I connect the button to an AND gate and then the toggle latch, the pedestal button will NOT change. That way I can still use a normal button!
That's a bit of a question, because normally 1-input logic gates are ignored where possible for special connections. That's because a custom antline/laser is a gate, and we want those to work. But in this case it might make sense to require no antline to be present at all, since that would expose the impulse from the pedestal. Just have the output from the toggle latch.
