Missing sounds

Open HyperAnimates opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

BEE2 Application Version

4.45.2 64bit

BEE2 Package Version

4.45.0

What operating system are you running on?

Windows 11

Description of the bug

For (I would say) most test elements and objects, they are missing and are using the "Oh fiddle sticks, what now?" sound as a sort of replacement. I have made a video of the problem. Again, most sounds are missing but there are a few that have their sound.

Expected behavior

Normally you would hear the correct sounds for each element and object.

Steps to reproduce

Im not sure how or why this happens.

Step 1: Choose the portal 1 style Step 2: Choose your desired test elements Step 3: Choose portal 1 glados as the announcer Step 4: Export to portal 2 Step 5: Make a test Step 6: build the test Step 7: Hear the "Oh fiddle sticks, what now?" sound

Logs and Reports

CSoundEmitterSystemBase::GetParametersForSound:  No such sound BEE2.P1.button_up
CSoundEmitterSystemBase::GetParametersForSound:  No such sound bee2.P1.button_down

Additional information

The log is only for the floor button. Here is a picture of my BeeMod menu: Menu beemod I have a ucp installed but this missing sounds thing started happening before I installed that ucp.

Similar issue for me, but with clean style. Most testing elements have proper sounds, but when trying to use custom music (like from Mel), I get the "Oh fiddlesticks..."

"CSoundEmitterSystemBase::BaseInit: Manifest 'scripts/game_sounds_manifest.txt' with bogus file type 'new_sound_scripts_must_go_below_here', expecting 'declare_file' or 'precache_file'

CSoundEmitterSystemBase::GetParametersForSound: No such sound music.BEE2 C"
