What operating system are you running on?

Windows 11

Description of the bug

When a portal is present on a surface that isn't an auto-portal. The user is using the singular version of the dual portal device. (The user can only shoot blue portals for example.) And you activate both colours of auto portals at the same time. The portal colour of the user will change, in this example from blue to orange. This also results in 3 portals being placed on the map.

Expected behavior

I expect there to never be 3 portals on the map, and for my blue portal gun to not suddenly turn into an orange portal gun.

Steps to reproduce

What I did was

  1. Place a portal using a blue only portal gun, don't place it on an auto-portal.
  2. Have a button that activates both colours of the auto-portal item. Don't place them ontop of eachother and don't tick the box in the item's in editor settings.
  3. You have replicated the bug.

Logs and Reports

No response

Additional information

I'm using the overgrown style, and have 13 auto portals in the map.

This is because of annoying useless auto-switching behavior that Valve decided to add to portals in Portal 2 for some reason. It might be fixable by using a VScript to carefully control autoportal activations, but otherwise you just need to work around this in your maps by making sure not to activate multiple autoportals at once.
