cad files show y stepper motor plate holding z stepper motor??

I have an issue with heavy z ribbing caused by a wobbling z stepper, looked at cad drawings and although the z axis stepper mount matches the one fitted to my r17 the cad drawings use the Y axis stepper mount which looks more adjustable and better suited to the purpose. Is this a file mistake and update or is my machine been fitted incorrectly ??
