[Request] Extruder Fans off until purge into bucket complete

Hello,

Can I request a feature please.

When printing PLA or other materials which might require high Fan speed, such as 100%, the Sigma enables the Fan while its doing the purge into the bucket before the extruder moves into the build platform to print. However, when using 100% fan, sometimes it blows the filament sideways in the bucket, so it is not wiped cleanly when it enters the build area. What this means is the Nozzle can have the full purged extrusion stuck to the nozzle, which it then gets pulled into the build platform and into the print.

What would be good is if the Fan was not enabled until the purge had completed, and it was past the rubber wiper.

Can this be done?

We tested both, with and without fan when purging and the results were way better enabling fan.

Enabling the fan when purging allows purged filament to quickly solidify right after coming out of the nozzle, so when it passes through the silicone cloth it can be properly wiped.

If you want to try without fan you can add the line M107 At the beginning of the Tool change gcode to disable the fan, and M106 S100 At the end, to turn it back to full power.
