City details banner does not open

Describe the bug City details banner does not open when entering the city

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Start a new game
  2. Enter a city
  3. See error

Expected behavior City details banner would open when entering city

This is a pretty strange issue.

I can reproduce it by disabling the following three official DLC's:

  • DLC: Aztec Civilization Pack
  • DLC: Khmer and Indonesia Civilization Pack
  • DLC: Nubia Civilization Pack

If you disable these three you run into this issue. Enabling any of the above DLC's will resolve the issue...

The other DLC has no affect on this issue and can be enabled or disabled as you please (the exception being the Scenario's related to the above DLC's, as they are dependent on those).

If you don't have the above DLC's I don't currently have a workaround for you, so you'll have to wait for us to actually fix the bug.

i think i found my specific cause, if I disable the mod dynamic diplomacy which affects those 3 DLC among other, the side panel appears normally

It seems like you are right. I enabled Aztec and started a new game and the menus are working now. It does not work on my current save game, but that probably has to do with other mods (Production queue) that "affects saved games".

It's because official DLC's also affect saved games. If you enable Aztec and load a save where it's disabled, it'll not load Aztec for that savegame.

Hello. I have this issue to. I can solve it doing the following:

1 Choose a city. 2 Select a district to build 3 Now i can see city details panel, but it's blank. 4 Choose the same city again. 5 Problem solved until you load a New game

I have the same issue. I have only one mod installed - Quick Start

In my case beside missing city panel I have also problems with sending Envoy to City-State - my list have only one City-State (should be few more) and I cant assign any Envoy

After disabling CQUI everything works
