Investigate Helm dependencies not getting installed
I'm having the same issue (possibly) - how are you trying to use/install the dependencies?
hey @radu-matei, can you explain what exactly we should investigate? I can't remember if we discussed this at some point. Sorry :)
Hey @sam-doordash! Thanks for trying out the project :)
I'd love to know where are you getting stuck with getting started. Generally speaking I use the following steps to get Draft up and running on my machine:
- download Draft, minikube, virtualbox (for minikube), kubectl and Helm
- call
minikube start - call
helm init - call
eval $(minikube docker-env)so Draft can talk to minikube - ???
- profit
This is explained in a little more detail under the install guide for minikube and then you can start playing around with the getting started guide. I'm currently in the process of rewriting the documentation so hopefully it's much clearer to follow through.
Does that help, or is there something else we can help you with here? Any input is much appreciated. Thanks!
I think Radu might be looking at the draft-in-a-container PR (#780). But maybe not; @sam-doordash I'm wondering if by chance you're trying out Docker for Mac? There are some funky issues there.
@squillace - no, I'm not referring to that issue. This is related to the chart used by Draft to install having dependencies that are not deployed in the cluster.
I will dig up the project I was working on at the time of opening the issue and come back with more information.
