Proposal Information

INTRODUCTION TO 'GALLERY'.

The idea? Building a web3 art GALLERY to hold fine-art NFT's on the web, but also making it accessible in the real world. A council voted by the DAO will represent the organization in the curation process. This council will have the burden of handing over a very short catalogue of art from artists nominated by the DAO and giving an appraisal on it. The DAO after blindly voting on the art get priority access to the artists and their latest work in the real world through events and by wearing their framed art, but also in web3 by bidding on the NFT’s. The artist holds a 25% DAO voting weight to sell or keep the NFT’s in the collection. A few of the most coveted NFT’s via the voting process will grant their respective artists' a vote on the curation council for as long as their art is staked on the platform even after it’s sold. However, both the organization and the artist stand to earn in perpetuity. Proposed revenue share structure is in the works.

Motivation

I’ve had this idea for a while a high-quality clothing line curated by the community to showcase the art they’re backing. An art gallery that literally roams both the streets of this planet and of the internet. An art gallery that let's the streets play curator.

Goals

What are the main goals, and why?

To get as much art out to the world. Especially to those who don’t have access to a gazillion dollars to spend on it.

How would you bring value to the community?

-By creating a community for NFT fine-art enthusiasts.

-By enabling a way for talented artists to earn more on their art while also helping build and guide this new hybrid space.

We envision this grey area being heavily reliant on community, and the success of this community being heavily reliant on transparency. Complete transparency. Methods to maximize this transparency are therefore open to suggestion, discussion and implementation.

The priorities now are building the community and its infrastructure. The budget is yet to be determined given we’re not well versed on the technical end of things. We hope to work with people who have a greater insight in the field before settling on a concrete budget and plan.

Short-Bio

Hi. Eugene here, 21, co-founder at GREY LAB, a small printing business. I have experience printing graphics on garments and handling delivery. I’ve always appreciated art, always loved graphics, this love led to the birth of GREY LAB. We see a gap in the market for a high-quality streetwear brand curated and backed by an active community, something we believe will be invaluable in the long run, something that will best be implemented in web3.

Portfolio of Projects / Past Experience

We have experience handling manufacture and delivery of streetwear drops and capsule releases but have no worthy experience in the web3 space.
