Reach on social media
Abstract
We aim to increase our reach, as we have realized that coin rewards and giveaways alone are not sufficient for sustainable growth. These methods primarily attract airdrop hunters or temporary visitors who leave shortly after. To build a more professional and lasting presence, we are leveraging Twitter and Instagram promotions, which help us reach a broader audience—including potential long-term users.
For now, we are using the verified NeoRedPill Twitter account to promote NeoUltimateShop, as the latter is still under review for verification due to its recent creation.
Proposal Information
Description
To build a stronger and more sustainable online presence, we are proposing a strategic shift in our approach to audience growth. While coin rewards and giveaways have generated initial attention, they mostly attract short-term users such as airdrop hunters, offering little long-term value. Our goal is to cultivate an engaged community and reach genuine users—particularly through paid reach campaigns on platforms like Twitter and Instagram.
We are seeking support to run paid promotions via the verified NeoRedPill Twitter account in order to effectively advertise NeoUltimateShop. Since the NeoUltimateShop Twitter account is still new and currently under review for verification, using NeoRedPill provides the best opportunity for credibility and visibility at this stage.
Very soon, NeoUltimateShop will also support payments with well-known cryptocurrencies. The shop is continuously being updated, with new products added regularly. This week alone, 2–3 new items will be added to the store.
Motivation
We are requesting funding to continue and expand our efforts in building a sustainable and visible presence for NeoUltimateShop within the Neo ecosystem and beyond. Previously, we were grateful to receive a grant that helped us get started — enabling us to launch the shop, organize events, and develop initial products. This journey not only allowed us to grow but also introduced us to many inspiring people from the Neo community. We’ve built valuable connections, gained experience, and truly enjoyed every step of the process — from setting up the website and social media accounts, to designing graphics and planning community events.
Our motivation is driven by the belief that NeoUltimateShop can play a key role in making the Neo community more active and visible. We want to keep going, not give up. With your support, we aim to bring more attention to Neo from the wider crypto space — through engaging events, giveaways, and most importantly, through the quality and diversity of the products we offer.
Looking ahead, we hope to reach a point where we can evolve into a DAO ourselves, and eventually give back by supporting other emerging Neo-based startups. This vision continues to fuel our passion and commitment to grow with — and for — the Neo community.
Goals
Goals and Community Value
Our main goals are to increase visibility for the NeoUltimateShop, strengthen engagement within the Neo community, and attract interest from the broader crypto space. We aim to achieve this through consistent content creation, paid social media promotions, community-driven events, and by continuously improving our product range and shop infrastructure.
We believe these goals are important because they contribute to a more vibrant and active ecosystem. Visibility helps attract new users, events foster community spirit, and high-quality products offer real-world value tied to the Neo brand.
By building a recognizable and trusted platform, we bring value to the community in several ways:
Awareness: We create a public-facing entry point that showcases what’s possible with Neo.
Engagement: Our giveaways, events, and community interactions encourage participation and foster a sense of belonging.
Utility: As we expand, our shop will offer a practical use case for crypto adoption, especially once payment with Neo-based coins is implemented.
Support: Long-term, we aim to reinvest into the ecosystem and help uplift other Neo-based startups, contributing to a more interconnected and resilient community.
Our work is not just about selling products — it's about creating a space where the Neo ecosystem becomes more visible, tangible, and alive.

Deliverables Verifiability
Deliverables
With the requested funding of $500, we plan to focus entirely on increasing visibility and community activation.

Prizes provided from existing shop inventory or supported through tokens
Focus: increase engagement and make the Neo community more visible
Roadmap (1–6 Weeks)
Week 1–2 (together with the new products)
Launch again the first/second Twitter promotion campaign for NeoUltimateShop
Prepare the first/second community giveaway event
Week 3–4 (hopefully)
Execute the first event/giveaway
Publish first social media visuals and engagement posts
Week 5–6
Launch a second paid reach campaign on Twitter (hopefully)
Organize the second community event (e.g., poll, creative challenge)
Budget Plan
Budget Plan
Requested Budget: $500 USD
Purpose: Paid marketing and community engagement
Budget Breakdown:
1. Paid Twitter Promotions – $350
Two separate targeted ad campaigns via the verified NeoRedPill Twitter account.
Goal: maximize reach, drive traffic to NeoUltimateShop, and attract genuinely interested users.
Each campaign planned for approx. $175 (ad spend + minor content boost).
2. Community Events & Giveaways – $150
Prizes (shop products, token rewards, shipping if applicable).
Design materials for event visuals (graphics, banners).
Small incentives to boost participation and visibility.
Justification
The requested $500 is a lean, targeted budget that focuses strictly on visibility and community interaction. It allows us to professionally promote NeoUltimateShop using a verified, trusted Twitter account while we build up the official shop profile. Simultaneously, it enables us to strengthen community bonds through events and incentives.
This amount is cost-effective because:
All shop development, product creation, and backend work are self-funded.
We’re using existing assets (NeoRedPill’s blue check, platforms, product inventory).
Our goal is impact with minimal financial input — turning awareness into long-term engagement.
This budget directly supports our project goal: making NeoUltimateShop a visible, trusted, and active part of the Neo ecosystem while attracting attention from the broader crypto space.

Firstly congrats on the launch of the shop.
I was wondering, why not wait until the NUS account is verified? Wouldn't that provide a stronger, more credible name to promote from? I get that NRP has a larger following at the moment, but I'm not sure it makes the most sense strategically. It might be better to use the NRP account to help grow NUS first, and then run paid ads from the verified NUS account.
Also, I'm curious, what kind of paid ads are you planning to run? Are you focusing only on Twitter, or do you have other platforms in mind? And what kind of reach are you expecting from this approach?
I assume you will have crypto payments in place before you start doing the paid ads? To me that feels mandatory.
I think in order to have an opinion about this proposal I'd need more details on what the paid ads are and if there is some market research done on what you expect to achieve with it as metric that can be tracked and how it will be tracked.
Hi Rob, thanks so much! As we can now see, Twitter has approved us for Twitter Premium with the blue checkmark for NeoUltimateShop. This means we can now post sponsored content with broad reach directly on the platform.
Our main focus for now is to use Twitter for sponsored posts with giveaways, in order to reach every valuable and potential crypto enthusiast and shop lover.
Twitter is currently our top priority for these sponsored posts, as the ongoing event (which will be promoted again through sponsorship) is designed to direct users to other social media platforms for full participation. Instagram and Telegram are already set up, and the event will guide users to those platforms as well.
I assume you will have crypto payments in place before you start doing the paid ads? To me that feels mandatory.
We’re working hard to implement the general payment method using common cryptocurrencies within the next two weeks. Until then, the distribution of the grant is still ongoing anyway, due to the various voting stages on Grantshares :)
After that, we’ll focus intensively on integrating a payment method using NEO (and its tokens), in case it’s not already included in the standard crypto payment options. (As you know, the NEO blockchain unfortunately isn’t natively supported everywhere yet.)
But we’ll definitely make it happen—no matter what, we’ve got this ;)
I see value in promoting this after also funding the development, though I'm still not entirely clear what you're aiming for in terms of desired results.
I see you added GAS payment options so that is great!
I wonder to see what other Grantshares members have to say.

I agree with @snakeyrob here ☝.
@NeoRedPill101 what are your target results?
In the past, we already funded proposals (ok, at least one as I remember, if not mistaken) asking for small amounts for marketing initiatives and advertisement, and the results were "slim to none"...
I'm following them from the beginning. I analyzed their project, and they developed a Neo community merchandise shop as promised. Now that the shop is all set up and running, they need some marketing. It would be good to give them a chance to boost the exposure and reach more people ( As that would be the goal after talking with them ), a simple 30-50$ few times - advertised campaign would reach more people to get interested in the Neo ecosystem and their community store. Generally, it is a win-win for the Neo community. It would be good if we supported them as they build something beneficial for the Neo ecosystem. The amount is not considerable compared to the results they can get. They prove to the community they can create and run a website with Neo merchandise, so from my side, it is = Yes.
I think everybody was clear on it being beneficial to Neo that's why the grant to build was executed. The question is more about did they make a plan on how to spend the marketing budget even small it's a relevant thing to think about to not just give it away to twitter. you say do "a simple 30-50$ few times" but that might be extremely ineffective for the goal. I remember the Dogerift team burning through some money doing it like that without a plan.
The goals as it stands now is very broad, it's hard to measure this maximize reach or attract genuinely interested users without some KPI's.
My question is maybe about that I wonder if they have a plan like doing x we expect to have 100 click throughs or maybe even x sales. And we will measure our expected outcome with tool x.
@snakeyrob I agree with you.
@NeoRedPill101 any comments on the last messages? 😄
Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you all. We've already been working behind the scenes and have integrated the GAS payment method, as mentioned. There will be more payment methods added soon. We’ve also conducted extensive research on products that will be added to the shop (feel free to suggest any products we should produce). All products will feature the logos and labels of Neo, GAS, Neotoken, and other Neo project graphics either printed or engraved on them, along with other coins. We are trying to cater to everyone in the crypto world, building reach in the process. Additionally, we’ve launched an ongoing event, and we’ll have smaller events running in parallel to further increase reach. NeoRedPill is already supporting NeoUltimateShop through his social media channels and website. We are definitely staying committed. We've also invested our own funds to finance some aspects of the project. It’s a lot of fun, and it has become our hobby, where we’ve already made many friends both online and in real life.
Now, let’s address your questions: :D All of the funds will be used solely for advertising and increasing reach (not for products, website, plugins, programming, etc.). So, if Twitter offers something like reach enhancement, we think it’s worth trying (we don't believe Twitter would offer this without seeing results). Similarly, we plan to use this grant for Instagram to grow our reach as well. For example, we’ve already seen over 100 followers for NUS on Twitter and over 600 followers for NRP. Even with NRP, we’ve promoted NUS and will continue to do so. However, we’re seeing that these follower numbers are stagnating. Perhaps Twitter is doing this on purpose, pushing for paid promotion to get more followers. That’s why we want to try paying for posts. We believe it will work. These posts will be combined with good news and events, so it won’t be a paid post with little reach, but rather a valuable post that maximizes efficiency and reach.
Additionally, if there are any funds left from the grant, we plan to use them for Google Ads as well. This way, if someone searches for terms like "shop," "crypto," "merch," "Neo," "Bitcoin," etc., we will be more visible on Google. If no funds remain from the grant, we’re more than happy to invest our own money into this.
We are always working on it, and it’s fun. It’s like a hobby. We believe in Neo, and we want to pour our passion, work, and energy into the Neo project. Remember, people didn’t believe in BTC at first either. Just look at where BTC is now… We want to continue developing new ideas and plans, and we hope that through NRP + NUS, we’ll soon be big enough to support other newcomer Neo projects like your DAO members.
If it’s permitted, I would like to bring this on-chain so we can get started right away. We will put in our best effort to ensure that the funds aren’t wasted.
@NeoRedPill101 congratulations on the project, I hope it continues to gain momentum.
The proposal makes sense to me. I'm in!

I'm not inclined to support the marketing initiative for this proposal as is -- mostly because we're going to fund a marketing campaign for the NeoRedPill Twitter account, which will benefit the NRP token more than anything.
I am OK with supporting marketing initiatives for the NeoUltimateShop, but will be waiting until that account is verified and can run marketing initiatives on X for that handle.

Could you provide a bit more information so we can decide how to vote on our side? :) We are curious what kind of metrics you can provide to evaluate the success of this kind of the promotion (number of shops visites/orders/followers...?) If you are able and commited to provide feedbacks about It maybe the small amount is worth It to give others NEO projects an idea of what such a campaign could bring. Curious to get others GrantShares members opinion too

Thank you for your interest and your question!
We are able to provide all relevant metrics such as the number of shop visits, orders, and follower growth for the NeoUltimateShop. We use our own tracking tools, which allow us to present this data in statistical charts or clear visual reports either as part of the final report or interactively upon request.
Similar types of insights are also commonly shared on platforms like Twitter (X) and Instagram, and our approach aligns with those standards.
The collected data not only gives us a clear view of the campaign's impact but is also meant to help other NEO projects better evaluate the potential benefits of such promotional efforts.
We’re also looking forward to the feedback and perspectives of other GrantShares members as the more insights we gather, the more informed the decision will be.
We're not entirely sure this will achieve the intended outcome, but we see it as an interesting test case for small marketing grants. Most Grantshares members haven't provided input, which makes it harder to form a well-rounded view, especially since for us this is unfamiliar territory. However, the positive responses from NEOF1 and Red4Sec carry weight and lean us toward supporting the proposal. In the absence of broader feedback, we're currently inclined to vote yes.

yeah, I generally agree with @DylanNNT.
I'd be in favor of supporting (solely) the NeoUltimateShop account with this initiative. 👍 💪
However, that's not what this proposal is about IMHO -- even if you, @NeoRedPill101, clarified that it was due to not having the NeoUltimateShop account verified. But, I ask myself: why didn't you wait some more days to submit the proposal (or at least edit the proposal before it was put on-chain) until the NUS account was finally verified?
Also, it's not clear to me what's the real role/synergy of NRP tokens in NUS, at this stage (and the use of funding from this proposal to the token itself).
I'm not sure if I was clear in my message here (I'm on a trip, running around stuff). Nevertheless, that's my take. Just to be clear: I'm inclined to support other marketing initiatives for NeoUltimateShop, but not this one as it is.

Since we have already received a “yes” from several people and this has been supported, and we have already developed new news, products, events, and payment methods (which we want to activate together with the sponsored post/tweet), we have put this proposal on-chain. As mentioned, we have some news that we want to announce everywhere. That’s why we are holding off on posting anything for now. AxLabs :)
Initially, we planned to launch the shop with payment options together with NRP. However, since this wasn’t well received or supported (which we realized afterwards ourselves), NRP and NUS are now completely separate projects and, in theory, independent from each other. The only connection is that we still promote NUS through NRP.
And now for the ultimate part :D ... we want to introduce all the important NEO token payment methods into NUS, with special offers, campaigns, and so on. This way, every major NEO token (NEO projects) will be included. This will make NUS and everything around it even more active and exciting :D

We can certainly cancel the proposal and create a new one. But wouldn’t it be better and faster (more efficient) if we discuss and come to an agreement here first, before starting everything over again?
The reason I asked for a new submission is two-fold:
- it feels bureaucratic, but I'd like to be able to go back to a successfully approved proposal and see what the exact metrics for success are, or where the grantee missed the mark. As it currently stands, this proposal is asking to allocate funds for NeoRedPill's Twitter account to run marketing campaigns. Is it nit-picky? Maybe, but a clear, concise proposal allows us to reevaluate and perform SWOT analysis for future requests.
- And this is my fault for not asking earlier, but... what is the plan for the X/Twitter marketing campaign?
I recently did an experiment on X/Twitter where I created a series of videos for the month of April and ran paid advertising campaigns on them. (19 video Tweets as part of the campaign with $190 in ad spend.) I certainly learned a lot of lessons, and personally didn't feel like the juice was worth the squeeze. I'm not saying it won't work for NeoUltimateShop, but I'd really like to see your plan so I can provide some insights into what worked and what didn't work with my efforts.
If I was curt earlier, it's because I didn't have time to participate in the discussion before the proposal was put on-chain. The discussion phase is probably the most part of GrantShares, and it's difficult when voting members don't get to take part in that process to clear things up, and better understand what they're voting on.

Unfortunately, it looks like we only have one day left for the voting, which we won't be able to do in a hurry. Perhaps we can submit an improved proposal for NeoUltimateShop in the future. But as things stand, we won't be able to get through the voting process. Nevertheless, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported us and continues to do so.
After some internal discussion we decided to not support this proposal. It's not clear whether there is going to be any effect from social media promotions and we're also inclined to dismiss giveaways as a way to promote anything. Maybe there is a better way to promote and maybe there are other proposals that can have more effect.
