Description
When I lock the screen and then try to unlock it, there is a noticeable delay of approximately 60 seconds before the desktop becomes responsive.
Expected Behavior
Should take just a moment
Steps to Reproduce
- Use the lockscreen toggle
- enter password to unlock
Update: I enabled fingerprint authentication, and unlocking works instantly with the fingerprint. However, when I try to unlock using my password, the screen turns red. Pressing random keys then returns me to the lock screen. Switching back to the fingerprint again restores the immediate unlock behavior, while the password continues to produce the same red‑screen issue.
yea theres some issues with fingerprint, that I havent been able to fix because - i dont have a fingerprint reader. You can try disabling loginctl lock integration in settings -> Power & security and see if thhat resolves it. Best I can do is guess at solutions though, without actually having a fprint reader

well to be clear right now fingerprint works instantly while disabling it and using the password (or using the password while fingerprint is enabled) makes the unlock very slow.
Yea I'm aware of it, just wondering if that fixes it or not. I will fix it whenever I get my hands on a fingerprint reader
