Control the Drone with buttons

Hi Everyone !

For my school project, I need to control the drone with only one hand through a joystick : the Saitek X52 Pro Flight : [http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod-bak/x52pro.html] I need to make the drone go up with the upper trigger and make it go down with the downer trigger. In other words, I need to use a button instead of an axis. @thomas-bamford is already trying to help me but I was wondering if someone already implemented this idea. I will very appreciate your help on this one (I need to make it work for next week, without your help, I won't make it). Thank you a lot for your time,
