Feature Request: Help onboard new Users
What
I included the "follow"-button in my homepage: https://kaffeeringe.de/ - But if people click "follow" who don't know the fediverse, they are left alone with that.
Why
I was asked, what the fediverse is. They knew Substack and Newsletters but they didn't know what to do in this case.
Isn't that a great chance for WordPress as part of the fediverse?
How
This modal should offer new users a solution. I am not completely sure how. I don't know how far the integration of the fediverse at wordpress.com is. Maybe you could direct them there, register and follow my blog as the first - then offer some more interesting fediverse-accounts to follow. Offer to send new posts via mails so it is a mix between social media and newsletter.
