Blank Canvas: Posts page only showing one post without title

Quick summary

When using the Blank Canvas theme, the Posts page only displays the content of one post, without titles.

When the site is first created, the homepage displays the latest posts correctly. However, when a new page is created and set to Posts page in homepage settings, the problem occurs.

When the homepage setting is set back to "Your latest posts", the problem continues on the homepage.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a new WordPress.com site (can be both free or Pro).
  2. Switch theme to Blank Canvas.
  3. Create a new page and set it as the Posts page in Reading Settings.
  4. Publish a post with any title and content.

What you expected to happen

All blog posts should show up, as well as the title as shown in the FSE template.

What actually happened

Content for only one blog post shows up, and the title for that post doesn't show up as well. It also doesn't have any links or anything that is shown in the Archive template in FSE.

There were two chats that had the same issue, and both users changed to the theme Twenty Twenty-Two and resolved the issue.

Thank you for reporting this @haeunp ! I was able to replicate this.

It appears this is the default behavior if there's no customization done on the "Home" template so it'll automatically render the post content by default. I believe this is not intended, so I'm flagging for extra visibility.
