Spearhead: Custom excerpts are not being shown

1.Create a new post 2.Give it a custom excerpt 3. Activate Spearhead 4. Head to a listing/archive where this post should show

I noticed that custom excerpts do NOT show anywhere

Expected I would expect custom excerpts (if they exist) to be displayed on all archive pages, including home/blog, exactly the same way bundled themes do (TwentyTwentyone for instance).
