Add Feedback Options to Open-ended Question Types
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe
One thing I'm running into fairly frequently in developing courses in Sensei is the desire to have open-ended questions where folks submit an answer that doesn't need to be manually graded before they get feedback/guidance regarding the question. Ex:
Multi-line Question: Given what we've covered here, how would you respond to the question, "What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?" Why?
Feedback: The correct response here is "African or European?" and the reason for that is—as shown in our example from Monty Python and the Holy Grail—asking clarifying questions ensures you have all the information available. And, they also prevent problems down the road. So make sure to be on the lookout for opportunities to clarify!
Right now the open-ended single-line/multi-line question types don't allow setting this sort of general feedback.
Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like to see a general feedback setting (it doesn't need to be labeled "Correct" or "Incorrect") added to open-ended question types in Sensei.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Right now, I've been forced to move these sorts of questions outside of quizzes and into the body of lessons using details/summary HTML tags to create accordions where folks can "reveal" the feedback or correct answer after being asked to do something with it outside the Sensei interface. However, because I'm not able to record their response in Sensei in this setup, I either have to be okay with losing the ability to review their work if necessary , or I have to start making learners use a separate platform to capture these sorts of responses in addition to Sensei.
