Apple Watch: App won't pause playback during Siri announcements

Whenever using the watchOS PC app while running and a Siri announcement comes in, PC will continue playing in the background for the duration of it, causing me to miss parts of the episode.

Apple Podcasts does this correctly: pause playback, make announcement, continue playback.
