The screen of my phone is not locking while using PocketCast on iOS. In the PocketCast settings I turned off the "Keep Screen awake" option.

Hi @BKrnk1337! I gave this a test on my devices and I'm not able to reproduce this. Are there any steps you can provide so we can try to reproduce this better?

Also, I'm wonder if this happens even after restarting your device?

Thank you very much for your quick reply. The problem remained even after the new setup of my new mobile phone.

The problem occurs with me, for example, when I put my iPhone on my desk, start a podcast and then travel through my AirPods in the apartment. When I came back to the mobile phone, the screen was still on.

In the settings of iOS, I have set a maximum time of 3 minutes.

Thanks for the additional details. I was able to reproduce this on the production and beta builds of the app when I set my timeout to 3 minutes, and 2 minutes but not when its set to anything less than that. I also reproduced with and without being connected to AirPods.

I tried doing some quick debugging, but unfortunately the system is prevented from sleeping when the device is connected to Xcode which will make this really difficult to nail down.

Perfect. Hoping for a future fix :)

@BKrnk1337 Are you still able to reproduce this on the latest version of the app and iOS? I tried doing so today, but could not.

Seems working for me. I will try it during the day and let you know if the bug still exist.

@rviljoen

I tried it today and the bug seems still present. The screen is locking after some time.

I have set the automatic lock to three minutes in iOS settings and activate the "keep screen awake" in PocketCasts

Hi @BKrnk1337 - just to clarify, your initial bug report read:

The screen of my phone is not locking while using PocketCast on iOS. In the PocketCast settings I turned off the "Keep Screen awake" option.

and the update from last night reads a bit different:

The screen is locking after some time. I have set the automatic lock to three minutes in iOS settings and activate the "keep screen awake" in PocketCasts

Are you still seeing both of these cases?

@rviljoen

Sorry for the confusion. Seems now the problem is in the opposite direction.
