System bar color changes suddenly when swiping open the up next queue

When swiping open the up next queue, the system bar at the top of the screen suddenly changes color. It would be nice if there was a smoother transition here as you swipe open the up next view.

One change that would really help with this would be to take our app edge-to-edge but it's a big change.
