IA Website verification bug

Open mrgrupbg opened this issue 6 years ago • 2 comments

Steps required to reproduce the problem

  1. Add a website for verification to instant articles configuration page ( My website is new but it received over 120 000 pageviews in last 7 days and i have about 2000 engagements (likes comments and shares)

  2. It should got verified and proceed to next step - review. ( Nope still Minimum readership error )

Expected Result

For the website domain to be added and to be able to proceed further with no "minimum readership general message" ( Btw if you try to put random domain it also got Minimum readership message) But after all this it still shows minimum readership message

So there are 3 possible reasons:

  • You have a site age rule + minimum traffic.

  • You just put these random message like an excuse not to add more new publishers ( even if they got traffic and are up to date with all your policy and rules)

  • There is a bug with this whole process, and a total mess between bots and humans.

Witch one it is?

What minimum readership means? A million views per week?

Just a quick update.

Now our website have about 1.2 million pageviews form facebook. And it still shows minimum readership error.

So is this a bug?

This issue has been marked stale because it has been open for 30 days with no activity. If there is no activity within 7 days, it will be closed. This is an automation to keep issues manageable and actionable and is not a comment on the quality of this issue nor on the work done so far. Closed issues are still valuable to the project and are available to be searched.
