404 messages proliferating after installation (site no longer usable)

Hi,

I installed the plugin following the instructions, and I modified the permalink configuration to use one of the pretty URL options.

after saving, any page I look for gets an "it" (being Italian the default language) piece inserted, and pages are no longer found.

am I missing something in the configuration?

...sorry, no ...I did not get this running again, nor did I get feedback from others.

for the moment I kept the issue on hold on my side.
