Add a link to byline avatar/logo

I have been asked to provide the ability to conditionally add a link to byline avatars or logos.

Are there any filters, any mechanism, anything that will make this possible?

The person whom asked is the newspapers President, so I would appreciate any help that could be provided. :-)

Have you had a chance to explore the template tags available? Might be worth looking at coauthors_get_avatar() and seeing if there are any filters already inside get_avatar():

Isn't this issue resolved now? There's an option in the block editor to "Make co-author name a link".
