PR: IfcCovering not showing what was modeled in v22.6.2.0

Open xpt5 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Problem Description

When exporting the same Revit file with v22.6.2.0, the output is different. The revit floor internal boundaries look OK but it's not deep enough so that a hole can be seen (we didn't cut the floor with a void).

Hello @xpt5,

Thank you for reporting this issue regarding IfcCovering export behavior, specifically the "hole" appearance for floors in IFC Exporter v22.6.2.0.

We have attempted to reproduce this behavior on our side with current Revit and IFC Exporter versions, but we have not been able to consistently reproduce the issue. We also note that several similar problems related to geometry export and covering representation have received fixes in recent updates.

Could you please confirm if you are still experiencing this problem with your current Revit and IFC Exporter versions?

If the issue does still reproduce for you, to help us investigate and resolve this more effectively, please provide:

  1. A sample Revit file (.rvt) that consistently exhibits this problematic behavior.
  2. Detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the issue using your provided file, including any specific settings for the floor, its boundaries, or export configuration that might be relevant.

Providing these details will greatly assist us in identifying the root cause and accelerating a fix.

Thank you for your cooperation!
