Problem Description
Consultants have been noticing in a few rare cases that there are element types which have zero occurrences. I cannot unfortunately identify any common pattern to these objects yet though.

Thank you for reporting this issue.
Our investigation indicates that the "orphaned types" behavior (IfcElementType with zero occurrences) was a known limitation in older Revit IFC Exporter versions (pre-2022). Significant improvements have been made to the type/instance export logic in more recent releases.
We believe this specific bug may have been resolved in newer versions of the Revit IFC Exporter (Revit 2022 and later).
Could you please re-check if this issue is still reproducible on your end with the latest available IFC Exporter addon for your Revit 2022 installation, or ideally, with Revit 2023 or newer?
If the problem persists, providing a sample Revit file (.rvt) that consistently exhibits this behavior would be greatly appreciated to help us investigate further.
