revit-ifc How to get weight quantities from Revit?

The material in Revit has a density, but the base quantities in IFC only do not include weight. Weight is pretty critical in costing and LCA. Is there any way to get this data?

Oh I'd love to get that in IFC from Rvt. If we could also export material properties, that would be the basis for LCA with IFC from Rvt. In Revit itself, it works fine: Volume × Density= weight. But getting that into IFC is a different story, especially when you consider multi layer Elements that are also not being handled well by Rvt right now...

@Moult : for some reason I can't at you in #546 , but I was wondering if you'd take a look at that issue and offer some advice. It seems like Revit is writing out the right information and viewers aren't liking it, so I'd like to know if you think we should "fix" our export or expect viewers to correct their current hacks...

This issue is also reported in Jira as "REVIT-242990" and is currently in the "Open" status.
