Open JDK not supported

Open xalt99 opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

I feel it's worth noting that this program will not work with the OpenJDK environment (Only tested on windows)

Audiversi will launch and immediately close, same behavior as when Java is not installed.

uninstalling OpenJDK and installing Java solved the issue, just thought this was worthy of note if anyone else had the same issue

On my side it works with openJDK 11.0.2 on windows 11.

According to @RensBloom input, we cannot be sure that your problem really comes from OpenJDK.

You should launch Audiveris from a terminal window (rather than from Windows start menu) so that you can observe the error messages issued at launch time, before the Java application really starts.

To do do, open a terminal window and launch Audiveris.bat since you are on Windows environment. Audiveris.bat file should be at "C:\Program Files\Audiveris\bin\Audiveris.bat"

No news on this issue. Should we close it?
